Interviews conducted between 1967 and 1974 with very early Red River settlers, both native (Cree, Saulteaux) and immigrants. Many of them, in their 80s and 90s, remember family accounts stretching back into the mid-19th century. The topics include midwifery, native burials, clothing, fishing, native customs, early days at St. Andrews, schools, the Hudson's Bay Company, life along the river, Clandeboye history, railroads and more.
