    Jacob Daodu arrived in Winnipeg in 1998. He is an electrical engineer by profession who owned an engineering company in Nigeria, but worked as a taxi driver in Winnipeg before becoming a contractor with the City of Winnipeg to run Handi Transit. Daodu was very active in the Nigerian community and supported several individuals and families to relocate from Nigeria to Winnipeg through the Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program. He was active with the Nigerian Association of Manitoba and co-founders of the Nigeria Canadian Congress of Manitoba.
