What is Oral history? It is a method of studying history that includes life histories, storytelling, narratives of individuals and groups. Interviewers sit down together with interviewees or narrators to help them research, record, and archive their life stories or memories for today’s and future generations. The Oral History Centre at the University of Winnipeg is recognized internationally as a dynamic centre of excellence in oral history and memory studies. We want to share this knowledge and experience with our community. Please join us for our Open House, Friday, September 26, 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm. The Oral History Centre is located on 2nd floor of the historic Bryce Hall.
