Interviews recorded between 1960 and 1975. John Grierson was founder and commissioner of the National Film Board (NFB). Interviews conducted by Roger Blais and James Beveridge with John Grierson's friends, associates and students for the NFB film Grierson (1973). Among those interviewed were Alberto Cavalcanti, Irving Jacobi, Stuart Legg, Walter Turnbull, Ross MacLean, Henri Langlois and Marshall McLuhan. There are also numerous interviews on tape and film with John Grierson as well as interviews about Grierson conducted by C.W. Gray, Elspeth Chisholm and others. Also documented are the careers of other NFB personnel.
