United Food and Commercial Workers, Local 832 Workshop
The Oral History Centre recently held a workshop with members of the United Food and Commerical Workers, Local 832. This workshop involved discussion on the importance of Oral History, the methods in which it could be used to document the life stories of those involved in Labor movements in Winnipeg and the usage of technology involved in the interview process. Many members from the UFCW and Winnipeg labour movement were present to give first hand experience of their life stories and we are hoping to see what future projects our connection with this unique group of people brings in the future.
