Looking Forward

02 Sep 2019

With the appointment Brett Lougheed as the Director of the Oral History Centre in April, 2019 (annouced March 26, 2019) the Oral History Centre now falls under the purview of the University of Winnipeg’s Library. This means great things for us, and for you!

With a plan for our long term-stability and growth in place, we have created our programming schedule for the upcoming year, and revised our OHC Membership terms. With this new plan in place we will be better able to serve researchers and scholars at the University of Winnipeg while continuing to support the individuals and organizations in our community who have been long-supportive of our Centre, and who are doing valuable community-based oral history.

With the launch of our new website, you can look forward to more accessible content, easier membership renewal and workshop registration, and in time, access to more of our resources online.

The Oral History Centre will remain on the second floor of Bryce Hall, and and our staff will remain in their current offices (when they’re not in the classroom or out doing fieldwork with the Manitoba Food History Project).
