If you would like to edit audio but don’t know where to begin this workshop is for you! Useful for anyone who has creative audio ambitions and limited skills, this workshop covers the very basics. With step-by-step instruction, we will work through the steps of importing files, reducing noise, and arranging vocal and musical elements. By the end of the class you will have created a short audio composition.

Participants are encouraged to bring their own computers to this workshop, and to download the free, open-source audio editing software Audacity® beforehand  (via: http://www.audacityteam.org/ ).

A limited number of OHC desktop work stations will be available for use during this workshop. Please contact us if you would like to reserve one.

This workshop will be in-person at the OHC. Attendance  is limited to 6 participants.

Workshop Fee:

• Free for UWinnipeg students, faculty and staff.  (Please register using your UW email address.)

• $60 (+gst) for community members
