Podcasting
Registration for this workshop is now open.
Podcasts are an increasingly popular way to share academic research in an accessible way. This workshop will provide a practical guide for students and faculty on how to approach the production of a narrative podcast. This workshop covers the basics of audio storytelling including structure, scripting, equipment, editing, producing on a budget, and remote interviewing. Using both professionally-produced and student-produced examples, this workshop deconstructs and reconstructs each element in order to better understand how each part contributes to the listening experience.
This is an advanced level workshop, ideal for those who have attended the Digital Audio Recording session of the Introduction to Oral History workshop series, the Audio Editing workshop, or have equivalent experience.
This workshop will be in-person at the OHC.
Attendance is limited to 15 participants.
Workshop Fee:
• Free for UWinnipeg students, faculty and staff. (Please register using your UW email address.)
