Audio Editing

Registration for this workshop is now open.

This is an in-person workshop. Participants are encouraged to bring their own computers to this workshop, and to download the free, open-source audio editing software Audacity® beforehand (via: http://www.audacityteam.org/ ).

A limited number of OHC laptops and desktop work stations will be available for use during this workshop. Please contact us if you would like us to reserve one for you.

Workshop Fee:

  • Free for UWinnipeg students, faculty and staff who register using their UW provided email address.
  • $60 (+gst) for community members

If you would like to edit audio but don’t know where to begin this workshop is for you! Useful for anyone who has creative audio ambitions and limited skills, this workshop covers the very basics. With step-by-step instruction, we will work through the steps of importing files, reducing noise, and arranging vocal and musical elements. By the end of the class you will have created a short audio composition.

This workshop is limited to 6 participants.
