Podcasts are an increasingly popular way to share academic research in an accessible way. This workshop will provide a practical guide for students and faculty on how to approach the production of a narrative podcast. This workshops covers the basics of audio storytelling including structure, scripting, equipment, editing, producing on a budget, and remote interviewing. Using both professionally-produced and student-produced examples, this workshop deconstructs and reconstructs each element in order to better understand how each part contributes to the listening experience.
